Coney Hill RFC Colts | Majorca Rugby Tour review
July 1, 2026
Fox Sports Travel was pleased to organise a successful overseas tour for Coney Hill RFC Colts to Majorca, delivering a well-structured itinerary that combined leisure, team bonding and competitive rugby in one of Mallorca’s most popular coastal destinations.
The tour began with departure from Bristol Airport, with the squad flying to Palma and transferring to Majorca. On arrival, the group checked into a well-located hotel offering excellent facilities, including a pool area set close to the bright blue Mediterranean coastline. The first day was kept deliberately relaxed, allowing the team to settle in and familiarise themselves with the resort. With an all-inclusive board basis in place, the squad enjoyed food and drinks throughout the day before spending the evening in a relaxed beachfront bar, providing an informal and sociable start to the tour.
The second day focused on a key leisure highlight, with the group spending the majority of the day at a local water park. This proved to be one of the standout experiences of the trip, offering a full day of activity and entertainment away from the rugby environment. In the evening, the squad continued their social programme with a visit to a karaoke bar, where group games and shared singing helped strengthen team cohesion and create lasting memories.
On day three, the squad spent time exploring Majorca and relaxing on the beach, with many players taking part in informal games and enjoying the coastal setting. The main event of the day was a closely contested rugby fixture against Ponent Rugby Club. Despite a committed performance, Coney Hill RFC were narrowly defeated, with fatigue from the touring schedule contributing to the result. Following the match, the hosts welcomed both teams for an outstanding post-match Argentinian barbecue, providing a generous spread of food and refreshments and an excellent example of rugby hospitality.
On the final day, the group checked out of the hotel and transferred back to Palma Airport for their return flight to Bristol, concluding a memorable and well-organised overseas tour.
This Coney Hill RFC Majorca tour demonstrated the value of combining structured leisure activities, competitive sport and strong social experiences, resulting in a rewarding and enjoyable end-of-season touring experience for all involved.
